Sean is a top-tier professional, capable of bringing both passion and deep technical expertise to any team. Working at the intersection of government and technology is challenging, given that both worlds too often clash, so it requires a unique skill set to navigate this terrain. Over the course of Sean's 'tour of duty' with FAI, he excelled working on technical API and data projects, as well as advising policy makers on arcane legislative initiatives in terms that they could understand. With limited resources at a startup, it can be challenging to move the ball. Sean was effective at driving the team to work through challenges, improve and make things happen. He was also great at prioritizing issues, defining solutions and driving the dev team to deliver results... As a virtual team with everyone working remotely, communication was key... I always knew that I could bring up any product or team issue/opportunity and we would work quickly together to define a practical resolution. Sean has exceptional range. He is not only talented across technical disciplines, but he also has great breadth in business disciplines i.e. he understands evangelism and community development, he's great at building the kind of productive relationships, business development and partnerships, go-to-market strategies and more. Most technical leaders don't think as holistically about how to launch a product and drive growth as Sean does. Sean was a pleasure to work with and I hope to have another opportunity to collaborate with him in the future. Any organization would be lucky to have him.

Sean has been an incredible board member and representative for the OpenStack community. He's collaborative, always open to feedback and new ideas, and willing to roll up his sleeves to get the job done. He's made a huge impact on the community, from adding structure to our global user group and ambassador program to spearheading the product management working group. Sean is an Engineer at heart and loves technology. He is detail-oriented and systemetic in his approach to work. He is process-oriented and has great organization and documentation skills. He He contributed to engineering architecture, established the Wiki and contributed directly to setting up the lab. He is a fun person to have on the team!
